About Logan Riese
Logan Riese, from Laguna Beach, California started his career cutting his first designs out of cardboard. After getting out of art school, he began his very first commercial clothing line, Malibu Lizard. Though modest in scale, his achievement was substantial. Yet wanting to move down the road, he worked very hard to mold this fledgling brand into a success. A short time later, Logan started a clothing company in Costa Rica where he created apparel available in boutiques and later went on to develop and open three Teco Loco Boutiques.
Five years later, after almost a decade of design, he was still compelled by the desire for a more satisfying art. He then moved back to Southern California where he started a jewelry business. He licensed the names of Dylan, Cooper, and Osborn, and produced his silver into rock-inspired jewelry which he sold on tour for a whole roster of bands. He designed exclusive items for the Hard Rock Cafe and Hotel, and was the first to come up with the idea for the sterling hrh silver guitar pick logo as a necklace charm as well as some of the most collectable hard rock pins ever made. Logan also competed logo based jewelry collections for the likes of The House of Blues, Virgin Megastores, and Golds Gym.
After Logan's jewelry line evolved and he augmented his silver craft with new mediums, leather and denim, he rented space in a warehouse in Santa Monica, California, invested in World War II-era Pfaff sewing machines, the finest German-Made machines on the market, and began the process of making the finest leather jackets in the world. By collecting only the most exquisite leathers and high-quality exotic skins --python, crocodile, shark, ostrich and stingray-- he could locate and purchasing leather one bundle at a time he insures each jacket is a one of a kind art piece.
Within a few years, his work was in exclusive boutiques in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Japan. Shortly there after rock stars and celebrities came calling and before long he was designing for Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Dave Navarro, Lenny Kravitz, Alan Jackson, Shaquille O'Neal and others, giving them in an original, timeless apparel that spoke to their need for individuality and love for fine leather. Logan now designs out of his studio showroom and can be found overseeing all aspects of his manufacturing and retail business. The design business keeps Logan busy with traveling to New York, Japan, London, and Hawaii to visit accounts and attend trade and fashion shows. As Logan always says as he starts a new venture or idea, "It's just the beginning."
